Extreme Seamen is an experimental collaboration that serves as a side project for both artists involved. Spermbank Hank is an underground hip-hop legend and a founding member of the seminal IBTC. He serves as producer, beatmaker, lyricist and vocalist for Extreme Seamen. Turquoise Phallus is an accomplished artist in his own right, a pioneer of the "death lullabye" sound and has released metal albums under monikers such as "Dominae" as well as "Dead Baby Cemetary", or "DBC". Turquoise serves as the main songwriter of the group and also plays all guitars and drums for the group.
Subject matter varies from hysterical silliness to dark eeriness. A diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic, Turquoise Phallus' lyrics deal with his battles against demons in both the physical and metaphysical planes. Both Extreme Seamen albums, "Oral Pleasure" and "Heavy Flow" were prematurely concluded due to his institutionalization. Turquoise Phallus is currently free and writing the third Extreme Seamen album, "American Ninja 3".
